Our Torrent Flier Jacket is built for serious excursions in serious alpine conditions, with every detail spec’d towards performance. The face fabric is a lightweight yet extremely robust 15-denier water-repellent nylon ripstop, which we’ve coupled with a completely waterproof, 3-layer DRY-TEC.

Both are bonded together by our K-Mono Cut sewing technique, a method that drastically reduces the number of seams to achieve a high-level of waterproofness, as well as lightening weight. And just for good measure, the face fabric has also undergone a DWR treatment.

In order to keep things comfortable, the jacket has articulated arms for absolute freedom-of-movement, a  Tri-axial hood which fits snugly yet doesn’t impede on your peripheral vision and Alpine cuffs that effectively block out snow and gusts. And to top it all off, it’s easy to pack down as well. Truly a marquee product in the Montbell range.
