Description
A rejuvenation of a Montbell stalwart, the Rain Trekker is a robust upgrade on its predecessor, and designed to tackle the foulest of foul weather. How? With functional fabrics, of course! The face fabric is a tightly-woven, 50-denier water-repellent nylon ripstop, which we’ve coupled with a completely waterproof, three-layer Gore-Tex membrane.
Both are bonded by our K-Mono Cut sewing technique, a method that drastically reduces the number of seams to achieve a high-level of waterproofness, as well as lightening weight. And that’s not all. Thanks to the inclusion of waterproof Aqua-Tect zips and Alpine cuffs to seal out snow and wind, the jacket has comprehensive weather protection in all the key areas.
Other details include a snug-fitting Tri-axial hood that doesn’t interfere with your peripheral vision, zipped pockets, set high so as not to interfere with straps/harnesses and the like, and a drawcord hem to lock in heat.
